Jess Hansen (Brodie) has 14 years experience coaching volleyball, 11 of those at PSVBA. Jess played outside hitter at Portland State University where she gained Big Sky Conference 1st team honors twice, as well as Big Sky Conference MVP. She broke several school records in Kills, Kill Per Set, Attempts, Double Doubles, Digs, and Aces. She was named Portland State’s Female Athlete of the Year her senior season. Jess played Libero for the Puget Sound Regions PVL team for the 3 seasons it was offered.

A native from Puyallup, WA herself, Jess has always valued giving back to her volleyball community. She has ran countless clinics and camps over the years for all ages ranging from 7-18 years old. She has coached different club teams ranging from U12 to U18. Most recently she has been focusing on the development of our younger athletes. Over her career at PSVBA, Jess has qualified 8 teams for nationals, won 2 open bids, and several regional championships. Her focus on skill development has been top priority for her teams.

Jess is currently an ambassador for the lululemon store at the Tacoma Mall. She is also the Regional Director for Vie Athletics. She has trained high school athletes, college athletes, and many women in the community. She has certifications in ASFA Speed & Agility, USA Weightlifting, and NASM Women’s Fitness Specialist.
