JZ Fitzgerald (Jessica Vanzant) has 15 years experience coaching volleyball, 12 of those at PSVBA. JZ received a full ride scholarship to Portland State University where she was the starting middle blocker her freshman year, and led the Big Sky Conference in aces that same season. JZ gained Big Sky Conference all freshman team, 2nd team, and 1st team honors in her career at PSU and collected team honors as co-offensive player of the year 3x. She also played Right Side for the Puget Sound Regions PVL team for the 3 seasons it was offered, traveling to Adult Nationals to compete at the open level.

JZ is a native of Tucson, AZ and played for Zona volleyball club. After moving to Washington after her collegiate career finished, she immediately immersed herself into our volleyball community. She began coaching for Emerald Ridge HS, before transitioning into a club coaching role at PSVBA. She has coached different club teams ranging from U11 to U18. Most recently she has been focusing on the development of our younger athletes. Over her career at PSVBA, JZ has qualified 7 teams for nationals, won 1 open bid, and several regional championships. Her focus on skill development has been top priority for her teams.
